Just like most custom builds for homes, when you buy a custom built computer, you get what you want, not what a manufacturer makes as a cookie cutter design.

Does Brand Make a Difference?

The name on the outside of the computer may be HP, Dell, Gateway, Toshiba, eMachine, Compaq, etc. but it’s all about what is inside the computer that counts. Parts are parts. Most all of the parts that go into any computer are built off-shore. There are good quality parts and parts that are made poorly. There are NO SECRETS in this business. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Retail and on-line stores have a merchandising strategy of advertising “loss leaders” to get you into the store. A $250.00 desktop computer is a “loss leader” and is cheaply made on the inside, regardless of whose name in on the outside.
